Montana SJ44 requests a study on the costs and benefits of affordable housing programs.

Montana SJ44 is a joint resolution requesting an interim study on affordable housing programs. The study will evaluate the costs of constructing or rehabilitating affordable housing units compared to nonsubsidized housing. It will also analyze the cost-benefit of state programs encouraging affordable housing development, review housing choice voucher programs, and identify successful programs in Montana. The study will be reported to the 70th Legislature by September 15, 2026.
