Failed·5/23/25
Eb Text

Montana SJ34 calls for an interim study on barriers to child care availability and affordability.

Montana SJ34 requests an interim study to investigate barriers to providing and accessing day care in Montana. The study will consider parents' and providers' experiences, compare Montana's day-care laws with neighboring states, and review data from the Legislative Audit Division and the Department of Labor and Industry. The study will also recommend strategies to strengthen the day-care workforce and propose changes to laws and administrative rules to increase access to day care. The final results are due to be reported to the 70th Legislature.
