SJ25

Montana SJ25 urges Congress to implement mandatory country-of-origin labeling for beef and pork products.

Montana SJ25 is a joint resolution urging Congress to reinstate mandatory country-of-origin labeling for beef and pork products. The resolution notes that while the United States Congress previously required such labeling, it removed the requirement for beef and pork in 2015. The resolution argues that consumers and producers favor transparent labeling, which would create a competitive marketplace. It references the introduction of the American Beef Labeling Act of 2025 in the U.S.
