Montana SB504 establishes a grant program for nonprofit corporations to develop permanent supportive housing. The Department of Commerce can award up to $75 million in grants for property acquisition, construction, and other related expenses. The state treasurer must transfer $50 million from the general fund and $25 million from the behavioral health fund into a dedicated account for these grants.
