SB486

Montana SB486 revises funding and administration of the Montana Special Needs Equal Opportunity Education Savings Account.

Montana SB486 revises the remittance process for the Montana Special Needs Equal Opportunity Education Savings Account. It allows school districts to opt for the Office of Public Instruction to handle the remittance amount in the first year of a student's participation. The superintendent of public instruction must allocate 95% of the remitted funds into the Special Needs Equal Opportunity Education Savings Trust for reimbursing parents for educational resources. The remaining 5% goes into the Office of Public Instruction Special Needs Equal Opportunity ESA Administration Account.
