The bill mandates that officers must provide a copy of the search warrant and a receipt for any property taken to the person from whom or from whose premises the property is taken, or leave these documents at the place from which the property was taken. Failure to leave these documents may not render the property seized inadmissible at trial. The changes are effective immediately upon passage and approval.
