The Montana Local Meat Act allows for the sale and consumption of local meat and local meat products. It exempts certain processors from food licensure, permitting, certification, packaging, labeling, and inspection regulations. The act defines "local meat" and "local meat product" and requires processors to inform consumers that the meat is not inspected. The act also revises rulemaking authority and provides definitions.
