SB34

Montana SB34 clarifies laws for K-12 school districts, including funding, budget, and transition processes.

Montana SB34 revises laws related to K-12 school districts, clarifying funding, budget, and transition processes. The bill specifies that funding for K-12 school districts must be calculated separately for elementary and high school programs. It also mandates that the guaranteed tax base aid for a K-12 school district must be calculated using each district's guaranteed tax base ratio. Transitions after the formation of a K-12 school district involve transferring funds and property from the elementary district to the high school district.
