Montana SB262 exempts the Montana Department of Environmental Quality from environmental review when reviewing subdivision applications that are located more than two miles from high-quality waters and include 14 or fewer lots. The bill also exempts the department from environmental review when reviewing water or sewer plans for small public water and sewer systems, extensions or alterations of existing systems, and construction of private water and sewage facilities. The bill revises rulemaking authority and amends sections 75-6-121, 76-4-104, and 76-4-136 of the Montana Code Annotated.
