Montana HJ35 urges federal agencies to change wildfire policies to ensure aggressive fire suppression.

Montana HJ35 urges federal agencies to change wildfire policies to ensure aggressive fire suppression, protect air quality, and prevent excessive spending. The resolution highlights the dangers of "let it burn" policies, which allow wildfires to spread unchecked, leading to hazardous air quality and increased suppression costs. It calls for aggressive initial attacks on wildfires, especially those threatening private or state land, the wildland-urban interface, or air quality.
