Montana HB945 establishes a grant program for early childhood education and child care infrastructure.
Montana HB945 creates the early childhood education and child care infrastructure grant program to fund new or expanded child care programs. The Department of Commerce will award grants to licensed child care facilities and school districts for property acquisition, construction, and equipment purchases. Priority will be given to applicants in rural areas or child care deserts. The program aims to address the significant unmet demand for child care in Montana, where only 44% of the demand is currently met.
