Montana HB888 amends the powers and duties of local boards of health regarding isolation and quarantine. It prohibits local boards from compelling private businesses to deny access to customers, denying customers access to goods or services, or imposing fees or fines for noncompliance. The bill also restricts boards from interfering with religious services or requiring vaccinations as a condition of release from isolation or quarantine. It appropriates $300 from the general fund to the Department of Public Health and Human Services for the biennium beginning July 1, 2025.
