Allows candidates for chief justice or justice of the supreme court to indicate political affiliations on ballots.

Allows candidates for chief justice or justice of the supreme court to indicate political party affiliations on their declarations for nomination and on primary and general election ballots. Specifies that if a candidate does not indicate a political party affiliation, the word "Nonpartisan" must appear opposite or below the candidate's name. Amends several sections to reflect these changes, including the appearance of candidates' names and party designations on ballots, the use of party names, and the preparation and distribution of nonpartisan primary ballots.
