Montana HB820 would require free on-campus parking permits for veterans and Montana National Guard service members.

Montana HB820 mandates that the Montana University System provide free on-campus parking permits to veterans and Montana National Guard service members who are faculty, staff, or students. These individuals must present proof of service to obtain the permit. The bill also allows the president of each university unit to establish rules regarding these free permits. The regents of the Montana University System are prohibited from charging parking fees to these eligible individuals. The bill is intended to be codified as part of Title 20, Chapter 25, Part 3.
