HB672

Montana HB672 revises the utility relocation process for the Montana Department of Transportation.

Montana HB672 amends the Montana Department of Transportation's utility relocation process, establishing rules for right-of-way occupancy and relocation of utility facilities. It specifies that the department must consult with various stakeholders when adopting rules. The bill also outlines cost participation for relocating publicly owned water or sewer facilities, with the department paying 75% of the costs for facilities with 500 or fewer service connectors and 85% for those with more than 500 but fewer than 1,000 service connectors.
