Montana HB624 revises laws for hobbyist beekeepers, increasing hive and site registration limits.
Montana HB624 modifies the state's regulations for hobbyist beekeepers. It raises the maximum number of hives a hobbyist beekeeper can own from five to ten. The bill also increases the number of hobbyist apiary site registrations allowed per individual from one to five, and from two to ten for a family unit. Hobbyist beekeepers must personally manage and operate their hives, and registrations cannot be leased, assigned, or transferred.
