Montana HB559 revises river usage laws to establish commercial fishing, guiding, and outfitting-free days on specific river stretches. The Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks must identify stretches of the Bitterroot, Clark Fork, Big Blackfoot, Madison, upper Yellowstone, North Fork of the Flathead, and Middle Fork of the Flathead rivers where commercial activities are prohibited for two days each week from the third Saturday of May to Labor Day.
