Montana HB457 revises eligibility for the Best Beginnings Child Care Scholarship Program.

Montana HB457 amends the family income eligibility requirements for the Best Beginnings Child Care Scholarship Program. It sets a qualifying income threshold at no less than 185% of the federal poverty level and 85% of the state median income for each family size. The bill also appropriates $17 million from the general fund to the Department of Public Health and Human Services for the program. This act is effective July 1, 2025.
