HB454

Revise visit frequency required of supervisory physical therapists

Complete·5/1/25

Montana HB454 revises the frequency of patient visits required by a licensed physical therapist when supervising a physical therapy assistant.

Montana HB454 amends the Montana Code Annotated to change the supervision requirements for physical therapy assistants. It specifies that a licensed physical therapist must make an onsite visit or a telehealth visit to the client at least once for every six visits made by the assistant or once every 30 days, whichever occurs first. This bill also adjusts the number of aides and assistants a physical therapist can supervise concurrently.
