Provide for setbacks for wind turbine generators

Establishes minimum setback distances for wind turbine generators in Montana.

The bill sets minimum distances for wind turbine generators from property lines and public roads. For properties with a wind energy agreement, the minimum distance is 1,250 feet from the property line. For properties without such an agreement, the minimum distance is 7,920 feet. Additionally, turbines must be at least 3,000 feet from public roads and highways. These setbacks apply after the effective date of the act.
