Montana HB282 revises tuition waiver laws to include American Indian students.

Montana HB282 amends tuition waiver laws to include American Indian students who meet specific criteria. The bill allows the Montana university system to waive or discount nonresident tuition for selected nonresident students, including those under WICHE-sponsored reciprocal agreements. It also waives resident tuition for students aged 62 and older. Additionally, the bill waives tuition and fees for American Indian students with one-fourth Indian blood or more, enrolled members or descendants of federally recognized Indian tribes in Montana, and bona fide residents of Montana for at least one.
