Montana HB223 amends motor vehicle insurance policies to include coverage for commercial tow truck operators. The policy must cover liability arising from the ownership, maintenance, or use of the motor vehicle within the United States or Canada. The policy must also cover costs for recovery and services, such as debris cleanup, at the scene of an accident. This revision applies to policies issued or renewed on or after October 1, 2025.
