Failed·5/20/25
Introduced Text

Increases the annual limit on Montana MEDIA Act film tax credits from $12 million to $350 million.

Montana HB200 increases the annual limit on Montana MEDIA Act film tax credits from $12 million to $350 million. The credits are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and if the limit is reached, taxpayers may use the credit in the next calendar year. The Department of Commerce can grant applicants the authority to apply for the credits, but authorization does not guarantee the credit. The Department of Revenue may waive penalties and interest if a claim is disallowed due to the limit being reached.
