HB193

Montana HB193 mandates a signature for voter registration cancellation.

Montana HB193 amends the voter registration cancellation process by requiring a signed written request from the elector for cancellation. The bill specifies that the election administrator shall cancel the registration if the elector submits such a request. The act also lists other reasons for cancellation, such as death, unsound mind, felony incarceration, court order, and failure to vote in two consecutive federal general elections. The changes are effective immediately upon passage and approval.
