Montana HB146 revises hunting license fees for migratory game birds, sandhill cranes, and swans. It sets a $10 fee for residents and $75 for nonresidents to purchase a sandhill crane or swan license, in addition to the migratory game bird license. Fees collected are to be deposited in the state special revenue fund for wetland protection, conservation, and development in Montana. The changes take effect on March 1, 2026.
