Montana HB113 revises resident preferences for public contracts and contract term limits. The bill mandates the Department of Labor and Industry to determine the residency of contractors bidding on public contracts for construction, repair, and public works or for the purchase of goods. Contractors can support their preference claims with an affidavit or declaration. The bill also allows contractors for most supplies and services to be extended to a maximum of 10 years.
