Introduced Text

Missouri SJR112 proposes to amend the state constitution to ensure an annual appropriation for the Blind Pension Fund.

Missouri SJR112 seeks to amend the state constitution to ensure an annual appropriation for the Blind Pension Fund. The bill proposes to repeal the existing section 38(b) of article III and replace it with a new section. The new section mandates that the general assembly provide an annual appropriation for the pensioning of the deserving blind, with the amount being at least equal to the appropriation for the 2026-27 fiscal year. Any remaining balance in the fund after pensions are paid may be used for the support of the commission for the blind.
