SB988

Establishes the Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact to facilitate interstate practice.

The Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact enables licensed professionals to practice across participating states. It establishes a pathway for dentists and dental hygienists to obtain a Compact Privilege, allowing them to practice in other participating states without additional licensing requirements. The Compact aims to enhance public access to dental services, promote mobility, and address workforce shortages. It also facilitates the sharing of licensure and disciplinary information among participating states, ensuring public health and safety.
