SB917

Missouri SB917 establishes a post-consumer paint recycling program.

Missouri SB917 creates a post-consumer paint recycling program to reduce waste, promote reuse and recycling, and manage paint waste through environmentally sound practices. Producers or representative organizations must develop a plan for the program, which includes collection sites, management practices, and education efforts. The program will include a paint assessment fee added to the cost of architectural paint sold in the state. The Department of Natural Resources will oversee the program, including approving plans and reviewing annual reports.
