Missouri SB902 mandates that health benefit plans cannot deny coverage for nonopioid medications prescribed for acute pain, require patients to try opioids first, or impose higher costs for nonopioid drugs. This applies to plans delivered, issued, continued, or renewed after January 1, 2027.
