SB895

Modifies provisions relating to professional licensing

Chamber Passed·4/16/26

Modifies professional licensing requirements, including temporary licenses for out-of-state applicants.

This bill amends professional licensing provisions to allow applicants with at least three years of work experience in another state to apply for a one-time, nonrenewable two-year temporary license. Applicants must pass an examination specific to the occupation and submit proof of U.S. citizenship. The temporary license is valid only in Missouri and does not qualify the holder for reciprocity in another state. The bill also specifies that certain occupations and applicants under investigation or disciplinary action are ineligible for this temporary license.
