Missouri SB1796 prohibits the sale or disclosure of teachers' personal information for commercial use.
Missouri SB1796 amends Chapter 168 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri by adding a new section that prohibits public schools, school districts, and third-party entities from selling or disclosing teachers' personally identifiable information for any commercial use. This includes marketing, compiling lists, or developing products. Additionally, the bill ensures that background checks conducted for work-related travel or transportation of students do not affect teachers' credit scores.
