SB1783

Missouri SB1783 modifies probation and parole procedures, including arrest protocols and reporting requirements.

Missouri SB1783 revises the procedures for probation and parole in the state. It mandates that upon the arrest of a probationer or parolee for violating conditions, the arresting officer must notify the board of probation and parole within 24 hours. The bill also allows parole or probation officers to issue arrest warrants for offenders believed to have violated their conditions. Additionally, it requires offenders to register with local law enforcement upon changing their residence and mandates that the department of public safety distribute registration forms.
