SB1739

Missouri SB1739 restricts unsolicited property offers to once per year and mandates disclosure of contact information.

Missouri SB1739 amends Chapter 407 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri by adding a new section that limits unsolicited offers to buy real property to one per calendar year. It requires the offeror to provide their legal name, address, telephone number, and email address. Any violation must be reported to the attorney general, who will investigate and notify the property owner of the investigation's status. If a violation is found, the attorney general can initiate a civil action, which may result in injunctive relief, civil penalties, damages, attorney fees, and other appropriate relief.
