SB1714

Missouri SB1714 prohibits public utilities from charging customers for lobbying, promotional advertising, and charitable expenses.

Missouri SB1714 amends the state's utility regulations to prohibit gas, electrical, water, and sewer corporations from charging customers for lobbying expenses, promotional advertising, and charitable expenses. The bill also mandates that interest accrue on customer deposits held by cities for over a year. These changes aim to ensure utility rates remain fair and reasonable, preventing unjust costs from being passed onto customers.
