SB1713

Missouri SB1713 prohibits certain transactions involving public utilities unless approved by the Public Service Commission.

Missouri SB1713 restricts transactions such as sales, assignments, leases, transfers, mortgages, or other dispositions of public utility properties unless the Public Service Commission finds them to be in the public interest. The bill also mandates that any corporation seeking to sell, assign, lease, transfer, merge, consolidate, or otherwise dispose of property must file a statement with the commission regarding the impact on tax revenues of affected political subdivisions. The commission must then send a copy of this information to the county clerk of each affected county.
