Missouri SB1683 modifies estate recovery provisions for public assistance recipients.

Missouri SB1683 modifies provisions relating to estates of persons receiving public benefits. It mandates that the Department of Social Services or MO HealthNet Division has a lien on any moneys to be paid by any insurance company or similar business enterprise to estates of persons who died on or after April 1, 1995, but not on or after August 28, 2026. The bill outlines conditions under which recovery of assistance is allowed, including when the recipient was a resident in a nursing facility or other medical institution.
