Missouri SB1602 amends Chapter 172 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri by adding a new section, 172.975, which authorizes the Board of Curators of the University of Missouri to acquire, manage, lease, purchase, sell, contract for, or otherwise participate in the ownership or operation of hospital, medical, or other health care facilities or providers. This includes acquiring entities or assets of entities providing health care services. The curators and any collaborating entities or individuals are granted immunity from liability under federal and state antitrust laws in 25 specified counties.
