SB1585

Missouri SB1585 revises public school employee rights to form or join labor organizations.

Missouri SB1585 repeals and replaces Section 105.510 of RSMo, granting public employees, excluding certain law enforcement and military personnel, the right to form, join, or terminate membership in labor organizations. The bill ensures these employees can propose changes to employment conditions without restrictions based on race, creed, color, religion, or ancestry. It prohibits labor organizations and public bodies from limiting the time employees can join or leave a labor organization. The bill also protects employees from discrimination or coercion related to their membership choices.
