SB1530

Creates provisions regarding vicarious liability for transportation network companies

Introduced·1/8/26
Introduced Text

Missouri SB1530 exempts transportation network companies from vicarious liability for driver-related incidents.

Missouri SB1530 amends Chapter 387 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri by adding a new section, 387.435. This section specifies that a transportation network company (TNC) will not be held vicariously liable for harm to persons or property resulting from the use, operation, or possession of a TNC vehicle if there is no negligence or criminal wrongdoing by the TNC or the driver. This protection applies when the TNC has fulfilled all its obligations under existing law.
