Missouri SB1529 modifies provisions relating to public labor organizations, including arbitration and mediation processes.

Missouri SB1529 modifies provisions relating to public labor organizations by detailing the arbitration and mediation processes for resolving disputes between labor organizations and public bodies. It mandates that any impasse in negotiations must be submitted to interest arbitration, with the cost of the arbitrator and court reporter shared equally by both parties. If the parties cannot agree on a neutral mediator within fourteen days, the matter shall be referred to the board, which shall assign a mediator.
