Missouri SB1504 modifies payments to ambulance providers for emergency services.
Missouri SB1504 amends Chapter 376 by adding a new section that modifies payments to ambulance providers. It sets the minimum allowable reimbursement rate for out-of-network providers at either local rates or 325% of Medicare rates, whichever is less. Health carriers must remit payments directly to providers within 30 days for clean claims and notify providers of issues for non-clean claims. Enrollees are not to be billed for additional amounts beyond co-payments and other cost-sharing.
