Missouri SB1487 modifies provisions for charges on sporting events and funding for sports complexes. It imposes a surcharge of fifty dollars for each ticket sold and a five percent surcharge on sales during events if a professional sports team announces relocation. The bill also allows the general assembly to appropriate up to three million dollars annually to each convention and sports complex fund, subject to certain conditions. The fund must be used for the benefit of a sports complex and administered by the county or city.
