SB1464

Modifies provisions relating to multiple employer self-insured health plans

Introduced·1/7/26
Introduced Text

Modifies provisions for multiple employer self-insured health plans in Missouri.

The bill modifies provisions for multiple employer self-insured health plans in Missouri. It repeals and replaces sections 376.1000 and 376.1017 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri (RSMo) to redefine "multiple employer self-insured health plan." It mandates the establishment of a surplus account, requiring it to be at least $600,000 or twice the authorized control level risk-based capital. The new sections also require plans to establish loss reserves for all incurred losses and unearned premiums.
