Missouri SB1332 establishes conditions for deploying the Missouri National Guard into active duty combat.
Missouri SB1332 repeals and replaces existing law to specify that the Missouri National Guard and its members cannot be called into active duty combat by the governor unless the United States Congress has declared war or martial law. The governor retains the authority to deploy the Guard for emergency relief during public catastrophes and to execute laws, suppress insurrection, and repel invasion.
