SB1319

Missouri SB1319 modifies food labeling requirements for products sold in the state.

Missouri SB1319 modifies provisions relating to food labeling, including the disclosure of bioengineered substances, cell-cultivated or lab-grown meat, and insect-based meat. It mandates clear labeling for products containing high levels of sodium, added sugars, calories, or saturated fats. The bill also requires disclosure of allergens, gluten-containing grains, and caffeine levels. Products using imagery of fruits and vegetables or claims of "whole grains" must disclose the percentage of such ingredients.
