Missouri SB1318 prohibits the sale of cell-cultivated protein for human consumption.

Missouri SB1318 prohibits the sale or offering for sale of cell-cultivated protein for human consumption within the state. This bill defines "cell-cultured protein" as any food product derived from harvesting animal cells and artificially replicating those cells in a growth medium to produce tissue. The prohibition includes any product containing such cell-cultivated protein.
