SB1313

Modifies provisions relating to homeowners' associations

Introduced·1/7/26
Introduced Text

Missouri SB1313 modifies provisions for homeowners' associations, including renewal requirements and dissolution timelines.

Missouri SB1313 amends the rules for homeowners' associations by setting a ten-year dissolution period unless renewed by an 85% majority vote. Associations in existence for at least ten years as of August 28, 2026, must hold a renewal election by December 31, 2026, and every ten years thereafter. Failure to achieve the required majority vote results in immediate dissolution, preventing the association from being subject to another homeowners' association for ten years unless approved by 85% of the homeowners.
