SB1265

Missouri SB1265 creates provisions to prevent illegal alien employment and sanctuary policies.

Missouri SB1265 prohibits municipalities from enacting sanctuary policies that limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement. It mandates that all employers enroll in a federal work authorization program and verify employee eligibility. The bill also makes it a felony to knowingly transport, conceal, or induce an illegal alien. Business entities contracting with the state must affirm they do not employ unauthorized aliens. The bill defines "illegal alien" as someone not lawfully present in the U.S. according to federal law.
