Missouri SB1251 modifies the adoption and abolition process for alternative county highway commissions.
Missouri SB1251 modifies provisions relating to alternative county highway commissions. It specifies that such commissions cannot become operative unless adopted by a majority vote of the county's voters. If a county does not adopt the alternative commission or abolishes it, it must adopt either the standard county highway commission or the provisions of another section. The bill also repeals and replaces section 230.205 to clarify the adoption process.
